About Larry Brill

Larry Brill grew up in San Jose, California with three goals: To become a broadcast journalist; to write a hit novel; and to pitch for a major league baseball team. Well, stealing from the lyrics of Meatloaf’s hit song, Two out of three ain’t bad. (Always had trouble with the curve ball)

He spent 25 years as a television news anchor and reporter in four states, picking up numerous awards along the way. After leaving the business to set up his own video and marketing consulting business, Larry penned his first novel, Live At Five, lampooning TV news as we know it today. His second novel The Patterer, carries that theme back in time, to imagine the hilarious possibilities of how today’s news clichés might look if Benjamin Franklin invented the live news performance for an audience in 18th century London.

When he’s not committing fiction, Larry has a day job producing marketing videos for small businesses and, occasionally, authors. He has spent the last three years researching and writing about why author book trailers fail miserably and what to do about it.
